Knowles & Co. were instructed to coordinate the sub-division of the former WHSmith retail unit, to enable the letting of Flying Tiger Copenhagen. The works were part of an ongoing strategy to provide more retail space within the Metrocentre.
Our instruction is a continuation of our strong relationship with the Metrocentre Partnership, which is built upon a strong ethos of trust and reliability. We were responsible for the full design, cost management and full liaison with the incoming Tenant to ensure successful project delivery.
The works involved the full strip out back to shell and formation of three retail units. Practical Completion was achieved following an eight week construction programme, with the Tenant able to undertake their fit-out works in line with their target programme. We are pleased to see the huge interest in Flying Tigers return to the North East and influx of visitors browsing the vast collection of Christmas wares.
