SERVICES – PRE-ACQUISITION SURVEY

We were instructed to undertake a Pre-Acquisition Survey of The Grimsby Seafood Village which lies within the Port of Grimsby on the Humber. The purpose of our survey was to assess the condition and statutory compliance of the site, as part of a due diligence exercise prior to the purchase of the site.

The site comprised 24 food grade processing units over circa 70,000sqft. Whilst a strong constitution was required at times, it was impressive to see the various uses of fish, which included baking dog biscuits! The goods were then distributed across the UK and the rest of the world. 

The unit was generally found in good condition and was well maintained which made our survey somewhat easier.

Knowles & Co. have over 30 years experience in providing pre-acquisition surveys within the commercial property sector and were able to advise our client of potential risks and liabilities ahead of the completion of the site purchase.
