Who are Knowles & Co?

Knowles & Co was founded in 1969 by Jill Knowles, who having worked with her father in a practice in Streatham, qualified as a solicitor and established her original office in Mitcham, Surrey.

Knowles & Co have always worked closely with the local community since the practice was established, and their success built around the principles of reputation, recommendation and trust.

In May 1989 Pauline Lawson took over the day to day running of the practice, having worked along side Jill Knowles as a locum solicitor on a number of occasions. Pauline could see the raw strength, vibrancy and sense of community spirit within the firm and used this as a platform to build Knowles & Co into the successful practice of today.

After twenty years in Mitcham Pauline decided, somewhat sadly, to relocate the practice to her home in Lower Kingswood, Surrey.

Throughout this time Pauline has maintained contact with many of her long standing clients, she is able to travel back to Mitcham and surrounding areas for home visits, which has proved most popular, particularly with her more senior clients.

One thing that has not changed is the founding philosophy of Knowles & Co Solicitors.

We have, and always will, treat each client as an individual and manage their expectations and needs accordingly.
